Yunnan, China, silver tael, (1943-44), small stag's head, NGC MS 61. L KM-X3. Muted luster under gray toning, typically weakly struck but devoid of actual wear, with hairline edge-crack and strong die-polish lines on reverse, a very popular issue (struck for the French Indo-China opium trade) that is highly sought in MS grade.
